Killingworth Cranberries
About
Killingworth Cranberries is the only multi acre cranberry bog in Connecticut, located in Killingworth and established in 1896 by the Evarts family. Owner Keith Bishop renovated the bog in 2016 and planted a new hybrid variety called 'Scarlet Knight'. The deep burgundy color and large size berries makes them ideal for a multitude of uses. The annual harvest takes place in late September, and the fresh cranberries are available for purchase at Bishop's Orchards Farm Market and other Connecticut farm markets listed on killingworthcranberries.com. These local berries are typically available from early October through Christmas with frozen berries available year round at Bishop’s Orchards. The farm itself is not open to the public.
